About 100 animals neutered
Neutering animals is the best way to save lifes. Angelcats Sanctury started a neutering campaign in May and over 70 cats were neutered this year thanks to a fundraiser. At Recue for animals about 15 cats and dogs were neutered thanks to a fundraiser. Apart from this several other dogs and cats were neutered at Animalia Ohrid and Dog Rescue Gastarovska.

Fundraisers facilitated for individual dogs
Lunita, handicapped dog from Argentina, rescued from adopters in USA, now long term fostered in USA – fundraiser for medical expenses and provision of urologist aid (sent from the Netherlands)
Doris, handicapped dog in Argentina – fundraiser for medical expenses and foster care
Ganer, privately owned dog, Macedonia – fundraiser for medicine Milteforan to treat leishmania
Hana, private rescue, Macedonia – fundraiser for and provision of medicine Milteforan to treat leishmania
Belcho, dog shot at with gun, private rescue, Macedonia – fundraiser for part of transport costs to the Netherlands

Betty, dog with cancer, responsible organisation: Dog Rescue Gastarovska, Macedonia – fundraiser for surgery and cytostatic treatment
Boy, dog hit by car, responsible organisation: Dog Rescue Gastarovska, Macedonia – fundraiser for treatment and boarding at clinic
Apart from facilitating these fundraisers for individual animals many other fundraisers were organised to collect money for the medical and daily care of the cats and dogs under the care of the animal rescue organisations supported by Angel’s Choice.

Organisations supported
Dog Rescue Gastarovska, Skopje, Macedonia – full support starting January 2015
Angelcats Sanctuary, Skopje, Macedonia – full support starting February 2015
Animalia Ohrid, Ohrid, Macedonia – full support starting June 2015
Rescue for Animals, Bitola and Ohrid, Macedonia – full support starting June 2015, ended at the beginning of November 2015
Full support means trying to raise money for medical treatments, food and other necessities for daily care, trying to find a forever home for some of the animals and organising transport, networking, providing information and second opinion from vets and specialists, moral support, et cetera.

RIP
Unfortunately not all the dogs and cats that were rescued survived their ordeal. Sometimes their injuries were too severe, sometimes the medical facilities and knowledge were not available, sometimes they died of causes unknown, sometimes they had already been through too much and just gave in, sometimes they really had bad luck, sometimes… It is particularly sad when an animal dies just a few days before transport to its forever home. This happened to handicapped cat Zoe and puppy Sofia that was rescued by Belgian tourists.

Thank you
Angel and I want to thank all the animal rescuers for doing what they do every day of their lives, it’s a hell of a job with a lot of positive endings but unfortunately also some sad endings.
We also want to thank all the people who have adopted a dog or cat and all the people who fostered or are still fostering a dog or cat. Without you, they wouldn’t live like a prince or princess now.
We also want to thank all the people who donated money and stuff, individuals and some companies and vet clinics. Money and stuff are always needed by animal rescuers to take good care of the dogs and cats.
Thanks as well to the people who bought items from Angel’s Choice shop. With the proceeds we were able to buy medicines and other necessities.
Also thanks to the people who accompanied dogs and cats on their way to their new homes and taking stuff with them on their way to Macedonia.
And thanks to all the colleagues, fellow organisations, vets, specialists and others willing to share their knowledge and expertise.
Last but not least thanks to the people who have offered moral support, liked and shared the pages and posts.
It is impossible to mention all the names but I am sure that when you read this you know I also want to thank you.

2015 proved mutual aid is the key to helping more animals and giving more animals a better life.

PS not all the cats and dogs mentioned and cared for are shown.
