On September 23rd Vildana from Animalia Ohrid, Macedonia, finally caught Tina. In the first picture you can see what she looked like on that day. The other two pictures were made a few days ago. Already there is an enormous transformation. Angel and I can’t wait to see what she looks like next month and the month after that. Tina deserves a very good home. De andere twee foto’s zijn enkele dagen geleden gemaakt. Er is nu al sprake van een enorme transformatie. Angel en ik zijn zo nieuwsgierig hoe ze er volgende maand en de maand daarna uitziet. Handicapped Ava left the loving home of Silvija Gastarovska in Skopje, Macedonia on October 6ht, 2015 and flew with her two adopters to Schiphol airport in the Netherlands. There Adrie was eagerly waiting for them and finally she could hold Ava. Ava was fostered by Silvija for about 6 months and now she has a loving forever home in Belgium. She has some furry friends there as well.

In august 2015 handicapped Tokito from Skopje, Macedonia, went to live at the home of De Kattenbrigade in Belgium. On October 6th, 2015  Cali joined him. In the short period of time they stayed together at Angelcats Sanctuary in Skopje, they were friends. Tokito and a lot of the other cats were curiously looking at the little cat who came out of the tartan bag. Thanks to all the people who made this possible and donated for transport. Thank you Diny and Sab for taking Cali into your home.

Afgelopen augustus ging gehandicapte Tokito uit Skopje, Macedonië, bij de Kattenbrigade in België wonen. Op 6 oktober 2015 voegde Cali zich weer bij hem. In de korte tijd dat ze samen bij Angelcats Sanctuary in Skopje woonden waren ze vriendjes. Tokito en ook veel van de andere katten waren heel nieuwsgierig wat voor poesje er uit de geruite tas kwam.
Hartelijk dank aan allen die dit mogelijk hebben gemaakt en hebben gedoneerd voor het transport. Dankjewel Diny en Sab dat jullie Cali in huis hebben genomen.

On October 5th, 2015 Sweety from Angelcats Sanctuary in Skopje arrived at Schiphol Airport and was taken by Adrie from Angel’s Choice to her foster home. At her foster home Sweety was not shy at all. She just stepped out of the transporter, investigated the house and enjoyed the cuddles. We are sure she will have a forever home soon.

Op 5 oktober 2015 arriveerde Sweety van Angelcats Sanctuary in Skopje op Schiphol en daarna werd ze door Adrie naar haar opvanghuis gebracht. Aldaar aangekomen was Sweety absoluut niet schuw. Ze stapte meteen uit de reismand, inspecteerde het huis en genoot van de aaitjes. Ze zal vast en zeker gauw worden geadopteerd.

Bino was found by Rescue for Animals in Bitola, Macedonia. He has a lame hind leg and he was suffering from scabies. He went to the vet this week and he declared his scabies healed. Bino is ready to travel to his new home in Germany. A fundraiser to pay the last part of the trip and his documents reached its goal amount. We will let you know when Bino has arrived at his new home.

Bino werd gevonden door Rescue for Animals in Bitola, Macedonië. Hij heeft een lam achterpootje en hij had last van schurft. Afgelopen week moest hij voor controle naar de dierenarts en die verklaarde hem voor genezen, qua schurft dan. Bino mag op reis naar zijn nieuwe huis in Duitsland. Een fundraiser heeft al het benodigde geld opgehaald. We laten het jullie weten als Bino op zijn nieuwe adres is aangekomen.

For handicapped Zoe from Skopje we had found a wonderful home in the Netherlands. Her ticket was booked and paid for. Five days before she was scheduled to board the plane she didn’t want to eat. In the evening Maja from Angelcats Sanctuary took her to the vet. He diagnosed a mild infection, gave her an injection with antibiotics and promised she would be as right as rain in the morning. During the night she died suddenly and in agony. An autopsy has been performed and we are waiting for the results. RIP dearest Zoe. We are devastated life was so unfair to you.
This meant that we had a ticket for a cat, but no cat for the ticket. Sweety demanded our attention, because she is not very happy in the sanctuary. She was taken from the streets for neutering in July. Because she is so friendly and social and sweet, Maja and Ruzica didn’t want to put her back on the streets again. After several months inside she yearns to go outdoors from time to time. That is not possible at the sanctuary. Sweety had her rabies some time ago, so she was the perfect candidate to replace Zoe on the plane. We found her a loving foster home and our search for an adopter will hopefully end soon.

Voor de gehandicapte Zoe in Skopje hadden we een geweldig thuis in Nederland gevonden. Haar vliegreis was geboekt en betaald. Vijf dagen voor vertrek wilde ze niet eten. ’s Avonds ging Maja van Angelcats met haar naar de dierenarts. Die constateerde een lichte infectie, gaf haar een antibioticaspuit en zei dat ze de volgende dag weer de oude zou zijn. ’s Nachts stierf ze plotseling met veel pijn. Een autopsie is uitgevoerd en we wachten nog op de uitslag. Rust zacht, lieve Zoe.  We zijn er kapot van dat het leven jou zo oneerlijk heeft behandelt.
Dit betekende dat we een vliegticket voor een kat hadden, maar geen kat voor het ticket. Sweety vroeg onze aandacht, omdat ze niet heel gelukkig is in de opvang. Ze werd in juli van straat gehaald in het kader van de castratiecampagne. Omdat ze zo vriendelijk, lief en sociaal is, wilden Maja en Ruzica haar niet weer op straat zetten. Na enkele maanden in de opvang wil ze graag af en toe een frisse neus halen. Dit is in de opvang niet mogelijk. Ze kreeg haar rabiesvaccinatie een tijdje geleden al, dus was ze de perfecte kanditaat om Zoe op het vliegtuig te vervangen. We vonden een liefdevol opvanggezin voor haar en de zoektocht naar haar adoptant eindigt hopelijk snel.

Belco lived on the streets of Skopje for several years. He was shot a few months ago. Animal lovers found him and rushed him to the vet. He had surgery and now he can walk very well again. Just a slight limp indicates something happened to him. He is perfectly behaved indoors and very fond of people, dogs and cats. The ideal dog to have as a companion for life. Belco woonde jaren op straat in Skopje. Enkele maanden geleden werd er op hem geschoten. Dierenvrienden vonden hem en namen hem snel mee naar de dierenarts. Hij werd geopereerd en nu kan hij weer goed lopen. Als je goed kijkt, zie je dat hij nog een beetje mank loopt, maar de kans is groot dat ook dat zal verdwijnen. Hij gedraagt zich voorbeelding in huis en is gek op dieren, honden en katten. Het ideale maatje. Als jij dat ook vindt, neem dan contact met ons op!! A few weeks ago we sent the first tubes of Dermalibour to foster mom Silvija in Skopje, Macedonia. She treated the old wounds of Teo with this ointment and look at the results: Teo’s skin is soft and pink now and scar tissue is diminished. Thank you Danni van Gool for your advice and donation!

Enkele weken geleden stuurden we de eerste tubes Dermalibour naar opvangmama Silvija in Skopje, Macedonië. Ze behandelde de oude wonden van Teo hiermee en kijk wat een goed resultaat: Teo’s huid is nu zacht en roze, en er is veel minder littekenweefsel. This kitten was lucky, because she was found by Dutch tourists in an abandoned building in Ohrid, Macedonia. She was meowing for help and the tourists contacted Angel’s Choice for help. She is only a few weeks old. She will by fostered untill she is old enough to travel, she will join her rescuers in the Netherlands. They callled her Lucky.

Dit poesje had geluk, want ze werd door Nederlandse toeristen gevonden in een verlaten gebouw in Ohrid, Macedonië. Ze miauwde om hulp en de toeristen vroegen Angel’s Choice om hulp. Ze is slechts enkele weken oud. Ze wordt opgevangen tot ze oud genoeg is om te reizen en dan gaat ze naar haar redders in Nederland. Ze hebben haar Lucky gedoopt.

Son Ce (Sun) is the name of this sweet cat. He was lying at the side of a road, broken and with lots of worms and flies swarming around him. Ignored by all the people that passed by. No one wanted to take care of the cat so volunteers of Animalia Ohrid took it, otherwise he would have died after a couple of hours. In their shelter they only have dogs, so Son Ce is temporarily staying at the home of one of the volunteers. They have to take Son Ce to Skopje to have Xrays made (not one single vet in Ohrid can make Xrays) to find out if he has broken bones or nerve damage. Son Ce drags his back legs, but he is so full of life and he is such a calm cat. Apart from money for transport and the bills of the vet Animalia Ohrid also needs money for high quality food, medicines, diapers, ointments and anything else you need when taking care of a handicapped cat.
