Sorry, completely forgot to give you this update on Ginger, who was found paralysed by Rescue for Animals in Ohrid, Macedonia. Ginger was transported to Skopje, because the vets in Ohrid cannot make Xrays and some vets in Skopje can. He is boarding at Angelcats Sanctuary till he is fit enought for Xrays to be made and further treatment decided upon. The girls from Angelcats give him lots of TLC, he was given antibiotics, IV fluids and raw food. And look, he is standing on all fours. Wobbly, but standing.

Sorry, helemaal vergeten het nieuws over Ginger te plaatsen. Ginger werd door Rescue for Animals verlamd op straat gevonden in Ohrid, Macedonië. Ginger werd vervoerd naar Skopje, omdat de dierenartsen in Ohrid geen röntgenapparaat hebben en sommige artsen in Skopje wel. Hij logeert bij Angelcats Sanctuary tot hij fit genoeg is om röntgenfoto’s te laten maken en bekeken kan worden wat hij verder nog aan behandeling nodig heeft. De meiden van Angelcats geven hem veel liefdevolle zorg, hij heeft antibiotica en vloeistof via infuus gekregen, en ook raw food. En kijk eens, hij staat op alle vier zijn pootjes. Wiebelig, maar hij staat.

Waiting for transport to Macedonia: 4 boxes of Intrasite gel. Very good concentrated ointment to treat open wounds. 2 boxes will go to Angelcats Sanctuary and 2 will go to Silvija, the foster mom of handicapped Teo, Ava and Zaga. Both often rescue animals with open wounds. This gel is not available in Macedonia. I was able to purchase them from the proceeds from the shop. So please shop at the shop of Angel’s Choice.

Wachtend op vervoer naar Macedonië: 4 dozen Intrasite gel. Betty had a huge tumour near her front leg. It has been removed but it was touch and go during surgery. Last friday she had her first dosis of the cytostatic treatment. Next week she will get the next dosis. She is lively, but not eating very well frown-emoticon

Betty had een grote tumor bij haar voorpoot. Die is verwijderd, maar het was kantje boord tijdens de operatie. Afgelopen vrijdag kreeg ze haar eerste chemo en volgende week krijgt ze weer een dosis. Ze is levendig, maar eet niet zo goed frown-emoticon

On August 19th, 2015 handicapped dog Paffy flew from Skopje, Macedonia, to Brussels Airport and from there he went by car to his new home in the Netherlands. He is already feeling at home and he likes it he has a lot of new furry friends, some of them handicapped as well. Thanks to all people involved in his transport: Kathy, Betty, Ruzica and Ann-sophie. Op 19 augustus 2015 vloog de gehandicapte hond Paffy van Skopje, Macedonië, naar Brussel en vandaar ging hij per auto naar zijn nieuwe huis in Nederland. Hij voelt zich daar al helemaal thuis en hij vindt het geweldig dat hij veel nieuwe harige vriendjes heeft, waarvan enkele ook gehandicapt zijn. Onze dank gaat uit naar allen die betrokken waren bij zijn transport: Kathy, Betty, Ruzica en Ann-sophie. Dankjewel Hillie, dat je jouw liefdevolle huis voor hem hebt opengesteld.

On the day Paffy got his travel document from a vet in Skopje, Macedonia, I heard that he had no longer had a foster home to go to.  His transport was all set and paid for… In two hectic days and with the help of a lot of fabulous people his luck changed once again. Next wednesday he will be welcomed at his forever home in the Netherlands!

Congratulations to Angelcats Sanctuary in Skopje (Macedonia), now officially registered as an association. It took the cat ladies a lot of patience and perseverance, but they managed to deal with all the red tape. From now on they are obliged to put a stamp on all invoices, documents, etc. This morning they let me know that they have another loyal supporter from Macedonia who donates 10 euro each month to their cause. The bloodwork has been done. Not all values are great, but that’s what is to be expected when a dog has cancer. The vet says the condition of Betty is well enough to start with the cystostatic treatment. Tomorrow she will get her first shot allthough we haven’t raised the money yet. But we can’t en don’t want to wait any longer. We trust you to help us by donating.

Het bloedonderzoek is gedaan. Niet alle waarden zijn naar wens, maar dat is wat je kunt verwachten wanneer een hond kanker heeft. De dierenarts zegt dat de conditie van Betty goed genoeg is om met de chemokuur te beginnen. Morgen krijgt ze haar eerste dosis ook al hebben we nog niet genoeg geld verzameld. Maar we kunnen en willen niet langer wachten. We vertrouwen erop dat jullie ons helpen door te doneren.

Handicapped Zaga likes to use handicapped Teo as a cushion. The red spots on Teo’s body are remainders of his terrible wounds. The dermalibour cream that was sent to their foster mom Silvija in Skopje, Macedonia, will be used to regenerate the skin tissue on those spots. Of course the cream will also be used for Zaga and Ava (the other handicapped dog fostered by Silvija), because they had serious wounds as well.
Gehandicapte Zaga gebruikt gehandicapte Teo graag als kussen. De rode plekken op Teo’s lichaam zijn de overblijfselen van vreselijke wonden. De dermalibour creme die we hebben opgestuurd naar zijn opvangmoeder Silvija in Skopje, Macedonië, zal worden gebruikt om het huidweefsel op die plekken te vernieuwen. Natuurlijk wordt de creme ook gebruikt voor Zaga en Ava (de andere gehandicapte hond die wordt opgevangen door Silvija), want zij hebben ook ernstige wonden gehad.

Hana desperately needs a new home, foster or preferably forever. She is in foster care now, but she cannot stay there, because her foster mom has to move out of her home. Hana is a 1 year old husky mix, succesfully treated with milteforan for leishmania. She is now on allopurinol. She is staying in Skopje, Macedonia.

Hana heeft dringend een nieuw thuis nodig, opvang of adoptie. Ze is nu in de opvang bij iemand, maar kan niet blijven, omdat haar opvangmoeder haar huis uit moet. Hana is 1 jaar oud, X husky, met succes behandeld tegen leishmania met milteforan. Ze krijgt nu allopurinol. Ze zit in Skopje, Macedonië.
